Delaware Road Trip
A Delaware road trip will allow you to escape quickly from Philadelphia or Washington DC and enjoy a great weekend get away. There is amazing fishing if you charter a boat in the Rehoboth Beach or off of Adams Wharf. The Chapel Street Playhouse which is located in Newark is the official community theater in the area and is your opportunity to pump some culture into your road trip vacation. If you are in the Wilmington area you may want to check out the Rockford Tower which is a 100 foot stone structure that will provide you with great panoramic views of the area.
Horse Tracks and Casinos
Delaware Park in Wilmington offers horse racing and slot machines for a full day's worth of excitement. White Clay Creek Country Club is also on these grounds and there is excellent food for your convenience.
Dover Downs also offers horse racing and slot machines in this luxurious casino. If your looking for entertainment there is regularly scheduled large name comedy and music acts that make their way to this facility.
Harrington Raceway is in Harrington and is located in close proximity to Philadelphia and Washington DC. It's a great place to bust free for a weekend and try your luck in the casino or bet on some horse races.
Fishing
Head boats and charter boats for full-day and half-day fishing. Sailing from Adams Wharf (Delaware Bay fishing) and Indian River Marina (Atlantic Ocean fishing). Private cruises and charters available.
